Salted Caramel Chip Oatmeal Cookies

I swear these cookies taste much more interesting then they look. As I was photographing them, I noticed just how …. monochrome is the best word …. they are. They are delicious, with those new-ish sea salt caramel chip from Hershey, but those are beige as well and blend right into the oatmeal cookie. Trust me, they are super yummy!

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups quick or old-fashioned oats
2 cups salted caramel chips

Directions
Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare your cookie sheets with silpat or parchment paper.

Combine, flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla extract in large bowl. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in oats and salted caramel chips. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto cookie sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet for a couple of minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
