Spring M&M Cream Cheese Sugar Drops

Beginning to find my Spring / Easter-ish baking inspiration, just in time, I might add. Here is something happy: Spring M&M Cream Cheese Sugar Drops. They are mostly just drop cookies (a la Toll House Chocolate Chip), but they have a bit of cream cheese in them, which makes them just have s bit of tang. And of course, I overloaded the batch with two who bags of M&Ms (not one to do things by half measure). Colorful and festive and brings out the child in me. Something to add to your Easter Egg hunt, or to stash for yourself?

Sourdough Cinnamon Sweetheart Rolls

What to make for breakfast on Valentine’s Day? These for me, myself and I! Delicious and oh so delicious warm out of the oven, just waiting to be devoured. These are supposed to look like hearts in a circle, and I suppose that they do, and have been making the rounds on social media in the lead up to Valentine’s Day. These could also be made with Cardamom instead of cinnamon, or even raspberry jam or chocolate.

Honey Gingerbread Glazed Nuts

And what would a CSPS Christmas be without some dressed up nuts? This year, I made Honey gingerbread ones, with almonds, cashews and pecans (but any combination of nuts will do). These are a little sweeter than some of my sweet and spicy ones, but still very delicious. Let them absolutely cool completely before bagging them up, otherwise they will stick together and get totally hard.

Christmas Chocolates 2022:
Rumkugeln and Eierlikörkugeln

In the run-up to Christmas, I have been making a few more homemade gifts. While I usually stick with making fudge, this year, I also made these chocolates. Rumkulgeln are a pretty staple German Christmas item, and the Eierlikörkugeln (Eggnog Balls) is a modification of that recipe. Note that these do have alcohol in them that has not burned of… certainly far from getting you drunk, but a noticeable taste, if you are alcohol-averse.

Gingerbread White Chocolate Chip Blondies

You know me, bars are almost as popular in my world as cookies, whether it be shortbread crumble bars or brownies or in this case, blondies. Very delicious. Just the right amount of spice cut my the vanilla of the white chocolate chips. A great addition to a holiday cookie platter and ready in under and hour, start to finish. Yummy!
