Goin’ to the Dogs: PB and Pumpkin Dog Biscuits

It’s National Biscuit Day. Yes, they have a day for everything, I think. While I don’t have a dog I figured that I would make these really easy treats to giveaway. All natural dog biscuits with pumpkin puree and peanut butter. Hopefully my dog-friends will like them!

Ingredients
5 cups whole wheat flour
4 eggs
1 cup canned pumpkin
5 tablespoons peanut butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions
Preheat oven to 350F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silpat.

Whisk together the eggs, pumpkin, peanut butter, salt, cinnamon and flour in a work bowl. Add a water as needed to help make the dough workable, but the dough should be dry and stiff. Roll the dough into a 1/2-inch-thick roll. Cut into 1/2-inch pieces, using a small cookie cutter. Bake until hard, about 40 minutes.
